Doozybird Posted July 10, 2021 Report Posted July 10, 2021 I want to create a DVD to play in DVD/BluRay player that has Menu system to choose from 2 or 3 included videos. This would be like a regular DVD TV movie where you are able to choose different episodes among those included on the disc. This option looks to be available if I choose Publish>DVD-Video Disc but not in Publish>HD and 4K Video. However the DVD-Video Disc option is only 720x480 and I prefer a higher resolution. Am I missing something or perhaps I don't understand the process? Thanks for your help. Quote
tom95521 Posted July 10, 2021 Report Posted July 10, 2021 Welcome to the Forum, DVD resolution is limited to 720x480. What you need is additional software to convert the PTE HD Video MP4 file format into a Blu-Ray disc. Here is a list of software. I have never burned Blu-Ray discs. If I want to watch PTE videos on my HDTV it's easier and cheaper (no disc required) to either upload to YouTube and watch on my streaming Roku device or copy the videos to a USB flash drive and plug into the HDTV. https://www.videohelp.com/software/sections/authoring-bd-hd-dvd?orderby=Rating If the authoring software does not include the disc burning software then you might try imgburn. I have used that in the past when creating DVD discs. https://www.imgburn.com/ https://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?/topic/9512-how-to-write-a-blu-ray-video-disc-using-imgburn/ Tom Quote
Doozybird Posted July 10, 2021 Author Report Posted July 10, 2021 Tom, Thanks for your info. I'm in the process of publishing to DVD-Video Disc as I type this. I realized since this is a High School reunion slideshow/video I have created, the quality of scanned pictures from high school annuals isn't that great anyway so I may go with the DVD-Video option. I had to drop the bit rate a notch for it to fit onto the 4.7G disc so I'll see what it looks and sounds like. I appreciate your input. Craig Quote
StevieB Posted August 13, 2021 Report Posted August 13, 2021 I think being able to publish Shows to a Bluray disc with menus would be an improvement. Proshow Producer had this option, which I used for shows and Archiving. Quote
