jeanie
help anyoneMy project is in perfect time to the music, but after I've saved as an Exe. file and burned it to CD, my images are now out of sync. Is the music getting off to a slow start? I did put five secs. silence at beginning as suggested.jeanie.
jeanie
hello again,I've looked again and see that the exe. file presentation is fine. It seems that something happens when I burn to disc. Is this possible? Am I right in chosing data when chosing what I'm writing to disc? Please help jeanie
bharkins
I've been through a similar problem. Make sure you have your images sized right - 100-200Kb. I have used PixResizer (free) to batch reduce file sizes. I does not change the original image file sizes.Bill
Ken Cox
and burned it to CD, my images are now out of sync. did you try copying the exe from the cd to the desktop and running it from there??this is generally a sign that you do not have enough ram or computing powerken
alrobin
Jeanie,What type of music file are you using? If you are using ".wav" file that may be the problem. I had trouble running an otherwise trouble-free show from a cd on a laptop once because I was synching to a large wave file which took up all my pc resources. jeanie
HelloAs a follow up can I just say that I used Alto MP3 Maker to extract my music files from a CD. I then imported them into Audacity to join the tracks together and put in silences and fades in and out. The problem then came when I tried to export them out as MP3 files. The following message came up. Audacity does not export MP3 files directly, but instead uses the freely available LAME library to handle MP3 files encoding. You must first obtain lame-enc.dll separately by downloading the LAME MP3 encoder, and then locate this file for Audacity. You only do this once.So I have downloded this onto my worktop. What next??jeanie.I thought this was all going too smoothly
Conflow
Hi Jeannie,Loading your 'Lame Encoder'- very simple, Find your 'Audacity Folder'-->Put a 'Shortcut' of iton your Desktop. Now 'drag' the Encoder into the 'Audacity Shortcut' with the LH.Mouse Key.held down-->let go, thats it. Now 'Close down' your PC and Re-Start it from cold.By the way, are you using the 'PTE Synchronisation Mode' prior to burning your CD ??If not, thats more than likely to be your problem - its so simple to overlook !Brian.Conflow. ContaxMan
"By the way, are you using the 'PTE Synchronisation Mode' prior to burning your CD ?"I don't know about Jeannie, but I'm not sure what you mean...
Conflow
Jeanie & Roger,My comment to Jeanie was:- By the way, are you using the 'PTE Synchronisation Mode' prior to burning your CD ?...Roger are you looking for a clarification to the above ?...Well if you wish to keep your Show synchronised to the Music Time line you must use the 'PTE Synchronising Mode'* Open your PTE Program and on the bottom of the Main Page select 'Project Options'* In the New Window about ½ way down find a small radio Screen named "Synchronise Slide Show to Music duration"..Tick that...under this is a larger button...Custom Synchronisation. Selecting that opens the complete 'PTE Synchro System. This function has been explained many, many time before on this Forum.Jeanie, the point being - if you do not 'Synchronise your Show' before making your Exe. this prior to burning your CD - that CD will not work properly on other PC's Brian.Conflow.
