Kalain Posted December 6, 2021 Report Posted December 6, 2021 Hi, Looks like a bug in 10.5.6 (maybe was here in previous versions) On a slide show with missing file, in timeline if you double click on missing file thumbnail and change "transition effect duration" and validate by 'ok'. Now, even 'Cancel' button do not close properties window. The only way to close is to clic on 'show next or previous slide' buttons, then 'Cancel' button will be effective. Quote
Kalain Posted December 7, 2021 Author Report Posted December 7, 2021 Here is screen copy to illustrate problem found. Quote
Igor Posted December 7, 2021 Report Posted December 7, 2021 Hi, Does this problem occur for a slide with a correct image? Can you send me a simple test project where this issue occur? Use Create backup in a ZIP command from the main menu > File menu. Then attach the file to your reply (if it smaller than 2 MB). Or upload to any file sharing service. Quote
Kalain Posted December 7, 2021 Author Report Posted December 7, 2021 This occurs also with valid images. Here is a sample project. Project1_Dec7-2021_18-28-09.zip Quote
Igor Posted December 8, 2021 Report Posted December 8, 2021 Sorry, we cannot reproduce this problem, yet. 1. I deleted P1040154 (Petit).JPG file 2. Open the project. See the Missing files report and click the OK button. 3. Double click on the 1st slide in the Timeline view. 4. I see Default transition with no time. I change it to Dissolve and adjust the duration to 4.0. 5. Click the OK button to close the Slide Options window. All is OK. Can you record a screen video? You can use even smartphone camera. Please upload to Google Drive or WeTransfer.com. Or YouTube. Probably other members can try to reproduce this issue? Quote
Kalain Posted December 9, 2021 Author Report Posted December 9, 2021 Hi, Finally the problem comes from windows defender. This happens if PTE application is not an approved app in Win Defender database. After adding this in Defender everything is ok. Quote
Igor Posted December 9, 2021 Report Posted December 9, 2021 Interesting issue. We didn't have any problem with Windows Defender many years. Not sure how it's related. Usually such kind of software simply prevent an app from running. Quote
