I'm new to the Forum, so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction if you've had experience with both Sonic MyDVD and PicturesToExe. I have a couple of questions.

1. I've created a slideshow in PicturesToExe and partway through the slideshow, I've changed the music. After the AVI selection was made, I created a video DVD of the slideshow using MyDVD so that my family can view the show on their TVs. After I've created the DVD, I played it on my own DVD player and the first MP3 selection plays, but the second one doesn't. Are there some special effects and music transitions that do not translate correctly when the DVD is created?

2. MyDVD is kind of neat because there is an option to create submenus on a DVD. I envision being able to put several slideshows on a DVD as separate selections. But, in following the directions on how to burn AVI video files on DVD, one of the steps says to hold off clicking the "Finish" button in PicturesToExe until the disc is fully written. Is this correct, or can I select "Finish" for that slideshow, pull up another slideshow and continue to build the DVD?

Thanks a bunch!

One solution to the music issue is to use software such as Audacity to join the two MP3 files into a single track for the show.

As for the second issue, try opening multiple sessions of PTE - one for each show - and then proceed as normal. Don't close the PTEs until all is complete.

Kingbingo1

Igor uses system resources to create the temporary avi - -as long as the pte is open the system can "marry" all the components

if you try to save the avi for use later and you closed the pte you will only get sound

i have had as many as 8 pte's open at once -- until the dvd is burned and tested on home dvd players they stay open

Hi!

I am new to this Forum and I have the same problem as Kingbingo1 with music transitions when trying to create a DVD (that is, only the first selection plays and the other transitions are lost). I see that one possible solution to this consists in creating a single track, but I would like to know if there are any alternatives allowing to make the music transitions with PTE and then keep them as they are when creating the DVD.

Thank you very much.
