JJB45 Posted December 29, 2021 Report Posted December 29, 2021 While working with key frames in O & A I discovered the times of the key frames where showing the length of time from the beginning of my video. That makes it difficult to type in a specific time when wanted. I did find the solution in preferecnes/editor/Show Global Times of Key Frames. Unchecking the box returned the time readings to reference slide time. I am guessing that the box was checked as a default when I downloaded PTE to a new computer. I cannot imagine having any use for the global setting. Quote
jkb Posted December 29, 2021 Report Posted December 29, 2021 You can easily switch between global and slide times using the Tools menu at the bottom of the O&A window. Both are useful depending on what you are doing at the time. Jill Quote
jt49 Posted December 29, 2021 Report Posted December 29, 2021 When you watch your animations in Timeline view, you see global times. In order to make an adjustment, you open a slide in O&A. Then it is helpful to see the key frames with global times, as well. Quote

Barry Beckham Posted December 29, 2021 Report Posted December 29, 2021 Just to give you some support JJ. I have NEVER had any need or desire to use global times in the O&A screen I adjust it to display the slide time I’m working on and that’s where it stays. I’m sure there will be times when it’s an advantage, but I’ve never had the need. Quote
jkb Posted December 29, 2021 Report Posted December 29, 2021 I use Global times when trying to fit to the the music, although now that we can see the waveform in O&A it is much easier. I have always used Global & rarely use Slide Times - each to their own Jill Quote
