Greetings,

I had been having problems with my MovieFactory2. Though it worked in the past, all of a sudden it was not recognizing the ".ptev" temporary file made by PTE. I think one solution given by other users was to unclick the "interlaced" choice in PTE. But this, I understand, might reduce the final quality of the DVD. Having tried everything else, I kept "interlaced" selected but I deselected the "Ulead" choice that Igor's instructions say to choose. Having done that, I then process it and get an AVI file that Ulead DOES recognize. I continued the process with ULead and made a very good looking DVD. So, for those who I see have been having the same problems that I have had, give this a try.

Also, I notice that after creating the DVD, a file called "_difc.chk" is created in the same folder as the "dvd.iso" file. I don't burn directly to the DVD. I "Create a disk image file" first which gives me the "dvd.iso" file that I can use again in the future to burn more of the same slide show. But I would like to know what this "_difc.chk" file is. I don't see anyone mentioning it in their process. If anyone knows, I'd appreciate any help.

Thanks... Gary
