Ronniebootwest Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Instead of the usual white/black or gradient background for my images, I want to use a textured screen that I have created myself. How do I apply this textured effect to the screen in PTE please?Ron West Quote
ContaxMan Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 Here's an easy way to accomplish this:1. Save your image at the screen size you intend to use, e.g. 1024 x 768 pixels2. In PTE, go to Project Options - Screen3. Select the radio button at the bottom left - "Tiled Image"4. Use the browse option displayed immediately under this to find and select your image. That's it. Ronniebootwest Posted December 6, 2004 Author Report Posted December 6, 2004 Hi Contaxman!Thankyou for the very fast response to this question. I tried all sorts of ways of achieving this but failed miserably. Your advice shows just how simple it is in PTE. (when you know how) I have now tried it out on one of my shows and it works perfectly. THANKYOU!Ron West Quote
keffs Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 You don't even have to save the background image at screen size. A simple small portion is all thats required. I would guess, although I have not tested it, that this would reduce the size of slideshows, and make them quicker to work with.Steve Quote
ContaxMan Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 If I remember correctly, using a smaller image results in it being repeated in tile-style. OK if abstract but not for a "real picture". Quote
keffs Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 Yes it does tile, but I thought we just wanted a textured background. For this it does work fine.Steve Quote
