Hello,

this is my first post here.

I am using PicturesToExe since about two years and I am very happy with the program.

There is just one thing:

I make slide shows that take ~ 20 minutes. I always use the synchronized mode (i.e. music and slides are alligned).

Many of the people viewing my slide shows have asked me to also include a way to directly reach a certain portion of the show without "having to go through" all the previous images before.

For that I can image two "ways":

1. Allow the user to set a bookmark during the show and when the show starts again allow to directly jump to that bookmark. The bookmark is probably an entry to the registry of the respective computer on which the show runs.

2. Have a "start menue" at the beginning of the show where the user can directly jump to a certain part of the show (my shows generally consist of 4 to 6 parts). If the user does not choose to use the option to jump to a certain part of the show the show should be run automattocally through all of its parts.

The object editor allows to jump to certain pictures, but I guess that is not possible when the show is in synchronized mode.

Also my shows are shown on monitors with different resolution, and my experience is that the object editor does not automatically rescale the images.

So: Up to now I have not found a way to solve my problem.

Do I miss something?

Has anyone a suggestion?

Thanks in advance,

Joerg

Hi, Joerg,

Welcome to the Forum!

Yes, there is a way to allow users to jump to a specific slide, even in a synched show.

On the first slide (or the one from which you want to jump to another slide), add a picture object or a button. In "Properties", select action "Go to slide number ..." and enter the slide number you want to jump to. Lastly, don't forget to check "Permit the control of show" opposite the "Customize Synchronization" button on the "Main" tab of "Project Options". Hope this helps! :)

Igor has indicated that he will add object rescaling in a future upgrade of PTE. :)
