kdwolfe Posted January 1, 2005 Author Report Posted January 1, 2005 I am using pte v4.31What option do i pick under video? custom? vcd? svcd? dvd-video??When I go to sonic... (oh it the LE version - does this matter???) Do i choose vcd? Then it comes up with some templates....I've been trying for a week now to create a dvd..and I am getting very very frustrated.....I've emailed the help desk, but they never responded... Quote
Igor Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 Please write me what exact problem (with text of the error message) happens with Sonic MyDVD.I've fixed one bug with this software product in v4.31 and really earlier the problem always happened, but now PTE should works fine with Sonic MyDVD.Personally I very like TMpegEncoder and Ulead DVD MovieFactory. Adobe Encore and Pinnacle Studio also are good. Quote
kdwolfe Posted January 1, 2005 Author Report Posted January 1, 2005 I dont want to have to BUY a program to burn/play if I already have one....I just bought this.... I dont get an error message, it wont play in a dvd player. It burns ok...it plays on the computer OK...just wont play in the DVD player.... Quote
kdwolfe Posted January 2, 2005 Author Report Posted January 2, 2005 ok...I did this - burned as SVCD and recorded onto a CD RW as a VCD...and got it to play. HOWEVER - the image quality STINKS compared to what is on my monitor...... WHAT SHOULD I DO?? is it the image quality?? or because its being burned as a vcd on a cdrw?? Quote
Ken Cox Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 there is no comparison between image quality on your monitor and your tvyour monitor will be betterif you have the computing power, make the show using better/bigger pictures - i have made shows using picts that are as big as fom 700 kb to 2 mb -- they show great on a 51" wide screen with aspect set at 4:3 and viewed at the proper distancemy computer specs are mentioned in various threadsken Quote
kdwolfe Posted January 2, 2005 Author Report Posted January 2, 2005 Back to the drawing board to create it with higher quality pics. THANKS>>>> Quote
ccmanz Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 If you create the same video to a DVD you will see a different. But, your monitor Res is so much higher. It still will not compare tothe quality of your monitor.Making a Video out of my shows is not for the quality. It is so people that do not have a computer can view our show.and a larger group can view a show at one time.VCD - 352x288SVCD - 480x576DVD - 720x576Monitor - 1024x768cc Quote
Ken Cox Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 kdwolfeone of my dim lights got brighteryou said you are using LEdoes it support dvd burningin some cases the software thant comes bundled with a burner will only burn vcd/svcd -- the want more money check the help file and see if sonic supports itWhen Igor issued the avi feature i had to upgrade my roxio easycd to be able to burn dvd's -- at the time i didnt have a dvd burner but i had to upgrade when i got a dvd burner to full suite -- they suck one in to buy all the bells and whistles ken Quote
kdwolfe Posted January 3, 2005 Author Report Posted January 3, 2005 Yes, there is an option to burn a DVD... but...Stupid question # (what am i up too? ) I need a special CD to burn as a DVD right, I cant use my CD-R? Quote
Ken Cox Posted January 3, 2005 Report Posted January 3, 2005 you have to have a dvd disk to make a dvd as well as a dvd burner ken Quote
ltdedorc Posted January 3, 2005 Report Posted January 3, 2005 If you decide to go the DVD route, be sure to read your operating manual for the LE to see it it burns onto DVD+R disks or DVD-R ones. In my case, both my Record Now which came with the computer and with the upgraded MySonicDVD Studio Deluxe were configured to burn DVD+Rs.Good lcuk...Harvey Quote
