Igor Posted March 11, 2005 Author Report Posted March 11, 2005 Tom, Thank you for testing "Run app." function. We'll block and these commands you wrote about. Also please give me exact string of command with cmd.exe. I just checked cmd.exe is not allowed more.Mike, Yes, we're writing new engine for slide-show and will try to optimize something in this direction. Pre-caching is good, except cases when too many slides located closely. Quote
MikeL117 Posted March 13, 2005 Report Posted March 13, 2005 Pre-caching is good, except cases when too many slides located closely. You are right, of course Igor. Even the most intelegent of cache systems has a limit. From what I have seen of actual sequences it is only a very small number of closly spaced slides that cause a problem. There is often a slower sequence before it that could be used to pre-cache the offending ones.Good luck with the new engine. I am sure you will find the optimum balanceThanks again to you and your team for all the excellent work. Quote
