kastlier Posted July 1, 2022 Report Posted July 1, 2022 I am looking for a solution for a problem I encounter when adding text to my pictures. when I use two separate textboxes on the same photo I find it very difficult to manually give them both the same fontsize by expanding or reducing the textbox. I also wonder how to apply the same size to the other pictures. Inserting the same value in the tab 'animation/zoom' does not work. example below both have zoom factor 12 but fonts have different sizes?!? Why can't I just give a fontsize in the tab properties in the same way as I do for "name","fontname","line spacing"..... ? Quote
jt49 Posted July 1, 2022 Report Posted July 1, 2022 The zoom value refers to the height of the text box, not to the seize of the font. Start by writing each text in a single line; then adjust the zoom, and only then use mouse and return key to create the texts with more than one line. If line spacing is set to zero, a 2-line text should have double zoom. 1 Quote
davegee Posted July 1, 2022 Report Posted July 1, 2022 Does this help? https://docs.pteavstudio.com/en-us/10.0/how_to_v10/add_text?s[]=font&s[]=size DG 1 Quote
jkb Posted July 1, 2022 Report Posted July 1, 2022 To get Text to be the same on multiple slides simply set up your first one, then copy & Paste the Text Object onto other slides. Jill 1 Quote
kastlier Posted July 2, 2022 Author Report Posted July 2, 2022 thanks everybody for your help. Especially the explanation about multiple lines of text in relation to the zoom factor (see the link given by davegee) clears up my problem. Quote
kastlier Posted July 7, 2022 Author Report Posted July 7, 2022 the comment above was a great help and now I understand the relationship between the zoom factor versus multiple lines of text. However the problem remains if you have zoomed out the image itself beforehand. Why can't you - like in other image processing programs - simply specify a font size that always remains the same regardless of the number of text lines and regardless of whether or not you zoom out the underlaying image. davegee Posted July 7, 2022 Report Posted July 7, 2022 The text will only zoom out with the underlying image if they are in a "parent/child" relationship. Make sure that the text is NOT a child of the image. DG Quote
kastlier Posted July 7, 2022 Author Report Posted July 7, 2022 I make a textbox using the tab object & animation. Thereafter by clicking on the "T" in the taskbar above. In that way text and image always seems to be a parent/child ? How to avoid this ? Quote
davegee Posted July 7, 2022 Report Posted July 7, 2022 Make sure that the image is not selected before clicking on the "T". Click in a blank area to de-select. DG 1 Quote
kastlier Posted July 8, 2022 Author Report Posted July 8, 2022 thank you davegee, I completely understand now Quote
