I love my Canon 20D but the shutter sound and mirror slap is so loud that it would really spoil a wedding...so I decided to take my tried and true Sony DSC F717 to the wedding and used ISO 400 with available lighting to record the event. I was very happy with the results: http://isabelcutler.com/RichardAndJane.zip

P.S. What I missed most from the 20D was the speed of capture. I missed many, many good shots with the 717 because of focus lag.

I have a friend who used to do weddings with 'Blad's - he couldnt use the motordive model in the "quiet times" - he would revert to the manual 500cm

Hasselblad's were the camera of choice for wedding photographers -- in fact i think one of our members might still use one -- wonder how he overcomes the noise factor?
