How did you obtain it and configure it for use in PTE? Is it by any chance a "wma" file? Can you hear it if you play it using an image editor such as Audacity? What happens if instead of adding the file in "Project Options", you disable the synchronization and add it to one of the images using "Customize slide" instead?
