Is there any way to be able to have a voice over on certain slides while the background music continues to play ? I know that I can do this by editing my music file to include the voice overs

but this becomes very cumbersome if I want to add/delete/reorder the slides.

TIA

In vertical view:

In the bottom section of the middle pane you will see:

Sound

You can attach a different sound to individual slides here (the backing track is added in Project Options / Music).

DaveG is right on, but just a couple more hints about that:

On PROJECT OPTIONS>MUSIC tab make sure you have ticked the little box "Don't interrupt sound when next slide comes on". If this is not ticked the voice over will abruptly end when the slide changes. Ticking it allows you to change the image while the voice-over carries on. (give the viewer another angle of the same subject etc etc)

Also be aware that you won't hear the voice-overs when using the TIMELINE to check out your show, you have to use the full screen preview. Igor is hoping to fix this in an upcoming new release I understand.

Hi,

Just be carefull you can hear the voice over while the music is playing or vice versa. This is the main advantage of mixing the sound track unique to a show you can tailor the sound so the levels are good.

One other option is if you compile a sound track and keep the "project" file for your sound editor. If you place the voice on seperate track then you can edit only the voice track and export a different mp3.

In other words, you would have a template soundtrack which can be edited at will. You will need to keep all sound fles used in the one place, so either a big hard drive, or store on a disc.
