vbl2007
Example displacement map animation. Used normal map for water movement and tree swing. Download project: https://yadi.sk/d/eYkV5YGSWiyGjw
tom95521
Very nice. I like how you were able to move the displacement mask down to just cover the water. Thanks, Tom
Igor
Very good simulation of water waves!

denisb
Good simulation. Just a question: why you don't use only one container mask. Denis examp_displac_mapV2.pte

On another slide, I experimented with different displacement maps, which is why I used two masks instead of one.
Igor
Simulation of a curved paper map using a Displacement Map effect in PTE AV Studio 11. I used a new built-in preset Circles Waves which will appear in Beta 5. To be honest, this tool is not ideal for this task, because the Displacement Map effect was optimized for a fullscreen images, and without rotation in 3D space.
Igor
We published new Beta 5 where you can use 2 new built-in presets for a Displacement Map effect: - Waves - Circle Waves You can customize a number of waves.
Igor
Hi, In Beta 6 today we improved a preset "Waves" for a Mask Container with a Displacement Map effect. Now you can adjust absolute angle of a displacement effect (from 0 to 360 degree). And adjust a direction of waves (horizontal or vertical waves). It alows to create waves with longitudinal displacement (as in previous Beta) and waves with transverse displacement. You can see an example of using shear waves in the new "Dissolve with Waves" transition. Note, that if you earlier used built-in preset "Waves" and "Circle Waves", you need to check their settings, because we changed some parameters.
