JEB Posted December 8, 2022 Report Posted December 8, 2022 Hi i haven’t been able to find any reference to this on the Forum. Equally, I am not sure of the benefits if any. I would appreciate any views. John Quote
tom95521 Posted December 8, 2022 Report Posted December 8, 2022 Hi John, I have used Windows 10 and 11 with 3 monitors with Nvidia 1660 Super. PTE can use 2 monitors. You can set the Preview screen separate from the PTE edit screen. I think it is a very nice feature. Currently only using one monitor due to table space. If your graphics card is powerful enough it should not be a problem. Tom Quote
jkb Posted December 8, 2022 Report Posted December 8, 2022 It depends how you work. If you only ever have one program open at once, then there is no benifit in haveing 2 monitors. But if you usually have several programs open then 2 screens is a real plus. I have used 2 for years now & find it difficult if I have to work with just one. With PTE it is very useful for expanding the O&A screen across both to get a larger timeline view. Jill Quote
JEB Posted December 8, 2022 Author Report Posted December 8, 2022 Thanks for your replies. I have been wondering about this for some time now. I have the chance of getting a spare monitor but probably have a space issue that would need addressing. I’ll need to think about this. john Quote
Lmoreels Posted January 22, 2023 Report Posted January 22, 2023 on limited space this works well for me: MacBook PRO (M1), DELL U2722D end docking-station for second screen + 2 SSD + 2 HD's IMG_1341.HEIC Quote
macian Posted January 22, 2023 Report Posted January 22, 2023 Lmoreels, what is the equipment near the mouse, it has two green lights visible? Ian Quote
tom95521 Posted January 28, 2023 Report Posted January 28, 2023 Hi Ian, Not sure if you received a reply but I cropped the image to show the device and uploaded to https://images.google.com/ (Google Lens). This looks like the device. https://www.amazon.com/Sonnet-Echo-11-Thunderbolt-Dock/dp/B08WYCY2FS orhttps://www.amazon.co.uk/Sonnet-Echo-11-Thunderbolt-Dock/dp/B08WYCY2FS Tom Quote
macian Posted January 29, 2023 Report Posted January 29, 2023 Thanks, Tom, that looks like the equipment. It is a bit pricey here in UK! Quote
