rosy Posted December 27, 2022 Report Posted December 27, 2022 Not sure if it's anything to do with this, but my PC with a show under construction, previous version when I highlighted a slide in the timeline & clicked on the O&A tab, it opened instantly, now with this version when I click the O&A tab, it opens with a gray slde for about 5 seconds, then the actual slide appears. The slide size is 2.9mb. just tried again & the gray slide appears for about a second followed by the actual slide. Tried again while recording with Camtasia & the gray slide stuck for about 15 seconds before the actual slide appeared, then tried again & the gray slide was only onscreen for 1 second.? See MP4 below. Rosy. Pigs in Blankets.mp4 Quote
jkb Posted December 28, 2022 Report Posted December 28, 2022 My Laptop does the same in 11 - No Objects appear when I go into O&A But if I move the mouse then they appear. I tried 10.5 & that was also slow for any Objects to appear in O&A In 9 they appeared instantly and when I went back to 10.5 that then also seemed to work quicker. With 11 they still don't appear until I move the mouse. With just a Blank Slide then the Blank appears straight away. But as soon as I add anything, even just a single Text Object & go back into O&A nothing appears until I move the Mouse. I haven't reported this before as I just thought it was my Laptop which as you know Igor does strange things sometimes. Not done much on my Desktop recently but don't recall having any problems in 11 Jill Quote
rosy Posted December 28, 2022 Author Report Posted December 28, 2022 Woke this morning thinking about my problem & wondered if my PC was getting tired? Or if the drivers need up-dating? Tried to up date the graphics card before I went to bed but couldn't find my NVidea log in details, so gave up. Busy today but will update soon & try again. The spec of my PC is General specifications Operating system Windows 11 Home 64-bit Version: 22000.1219 Microprocessor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700F CPU @ 3.00GHz System memory 16 GB Memory slot 1 8GB Samsung 2666MHz Memory slot 2 8GB Samsung 2666MHz System board 8653 A (SMVB) System BIOS F.11 Video Graphic device 1 NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER Current resolution 2560 x 1440 Refresh rate 59 Hz Version 31.0.15.1694 (7/21/2022) Audio Device 1 NVIDIA High Definition Audio Status Enabled Driver nvhda64v.sys Version 1.3.39.14 Device 2 NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM) Status Enabled Driver nvvad64v.sys Version 4.13.0.0 Device 3 Realtek High Definition Audio Status Enabled Driver RTKVHD64.sys Version 6.0.9163.1 When I shut down the PC last night I got a PTE error message, see below. The PIB MP4 was in the show temporarily??? Back later. Rosy. Quote
Igor Posted December 28, 2022 Report Posted December 28, 2022 Rosy, Thanks for telling me about this issue. We'll try to fix it quickly. Jill, you're right. Loading a slide starts when you move the mouse cursor. When we fix it, loading of a slide should work with the same speed as in PTE 10.5 or 9.0 UPD. I can reproduce this problem only in Windows 11. And all is OK with Windows 10. Jill do you observe this issue on Windows 7 or Windows 11? Quote
rosy Posted December 28, 2022 Author Report Posted December 28, 2022 Since my last post, I have up-dated the graphics driver & the gray screen when clicking the O&A tab, is now milli seconds. Rosy. Quote

Igor Posted December 28, 2022 Report Posted December 28, 2022 Jill, Thanks for the confirmation. I'm glad that it works better now, even on Window 7. Quote
nelson Posted December 28, 2022 Report Posted December 28, 2022 I am now getting the grey slide for 1 second before slide as others explained. No issues in 10.5. Downloaded latest new build. Cleared all cache and removed previous versions. Kieron Quote

If you mean opening the O&A editor for a selected slide, a short delay always should occurs there depending on used images/videos, usually 0.5s or 1s of grey screen while slide is loading. The same for version 10.5 and earlier versions. Quote
nelson Posted December 28, 2022 Report Posted December 28, 2022 Thanks for the quick response Igor, It is in objects and animations as you described it. Windows 10 It is not an issue with me but I assumed the slight pause was corrected in the latest build. I had a different show loaded in 10.5 and it was immediate, when checking it was a smaller file size. When using identical shows they are both the same. Sorry for the confusion on my part. Works as it is supposed to, Kieron Quote
Igor Posted December 28, 2022 Report Posted December 28, 2022 No worries. Glad that it's resolved. Quote
jmG-06100 Posted December 28, 2022 Report Posted December 28, 2022 It's good to see quick fixes like this time. Note that my old software "PTE AV Studio 10.5 Pro" tells me that it is "Version: 10.5.9 (64 bits) Build2" ; Great. Every time I upload a new version 11, like this one, I have no indication of the "build", just "version: 11.0 (64 bits)", which is a bit frustrating as I cannot be sure to use the latest one. That should be solved for V12, I know. Quote
