I've just gone through 600 pictures and captioned them all in Photoshop Album. The captions are all embedded in the EXIF data. Any idea how I can get PTE to use these captions as comments, without having to re-type it all?

each pict already has a name

and if you have the picts loaded into the program

if you go to

project options/comments/check the box that says to set comments

is this what you want?

There isn't at the moment any way to extract captions from the exif data in Pic2Exe- you can only caption as Ken say's by using the actual file name.

I'm very surprised for this captions of the exif data: often, when we save an image as jpeg, the exif data is not always writed in the picture

(save for the web...).

By the way, for sure, it doesn't cost anything (a lot of work ), and all the improvements are welcome, I think also.

the exif thing has been discussed before - search brings up many hits

so if you are attempting to diddle your pictures make sure your graphics program does not delete the exif info

Irfanview can delete it if the wrong default setting is made

i dont know everything it is telling me but there is a pile of info there if one was troubleshooting and wanted to compare pict info

i do very little digital so my scanned picts do not have it but as i mentioned in the WALMART thread

they do embed it on a picture cd so there must be a reason -- the same as they code every print on the back so they can troubleshoot their process as well as your print
