well that is normal -- everybody that is going to access your site does not own a copy of Pict to Exe -- tho' Igor would like them to

what you need to do is load you completed exe's to your web site

how you do it i dont know but when i accessed your page, you have urls leading to faq's and help for the angelfire site - try them

and i posted links

Well the page you went on was the basic I go to advanced, which is http://www.angelfire.com/rock4/mcct2005a.html and the 2005a.pte is the exe file well suppose to be and it is in the directories. I think I got the slide show in a zip file sent it to another puter and when it was opened it gave error of not being able to be seen with an .rtf ext, what am I doing wrong I am ggoing crazy here folks :-(

Also how can I send in e-mail if I have same problems, of no one being able to open them...

Once you have built your presentation as a project (.pte), you need to go file>create presentation. This will create an .exe file of your presentation. Now you have a stand-alone application that will run on any Windows operating system. You could send this as an attachment to an email if you wish.

To put it on a web site:

Zip the .exe file; this will give you a file with a .zip extension.

Now upload it as you would any picture file to your website.

The next step is to put a link on your website just as you would to a picture or a page, but with the address of your zip file.

A page address might be: http://www.mywebsite.com/page.htm

A picture address might be: http://www.mywebsite.com/picture.jpg

Your presentation address might be: http://www.mywebsite.com/presentaion.zip

A visitor clicking on the link should then be able to download the .zip file from you web page.

Thank you Steve,

I have tried to make a zip file but evidently what I am doing is wrong as when I make one (or so it says *zip*) when I do send it and open it it opens a few folders then comes to Pic to exe and of course no one has the program to open that says not recognized.

I have to be doing something wrong!!!!! WinZip says eval only thats what I make the file from, what am I doing wrong , I hit create on the slide show, it creates an exe file but still shows up as .pte..... I am so sorry to be a pest and I know this is so easy I can see that I HAVE to be doing something wrong!!!!

Hmm...

When you create a presentation PTE will by default create an .exe file of the same name as your project file. Is it possible that you are actually zipping the .pte file by mistake?

Try using file>create presentation as - this will allow you to save an .exe file in a completely different directory. This should avoid any confusion between your files and make sure that you are dealing with the .exe file. You can confirm that it’s an .exe file also by clicking on it in My Computer and checking that its description is “application”.

Note that you should only need to zip the .exe file, so I’m not sure what you mean by WinZip opening a few folders.

Steve you may be right......I know I have created a zip file from winzip, or so it said it was until I opened it up and it did what I mentioned in the post. I did create an exe file from my slide show, I hit create (is that right) and then after that I saved it then opened a zip program and found it and packed it and zipped it, but still had the problems, I will try again tonight.
