Hawk Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Hi Ron ( Ronniebootwest )I notice that there is an option to add attachments and also pictures. How big should the picture be so that it will upload/download quickly? The " Add attachments " from computer is not working at this time.** REVISED - Working Now - as of Oct 18/05 - See post above. When it was working at the time new board was updated I did an image at 800 x 600, it appeared OK.I did not see any reference to file size even in the " Help " section.Image appeared as a thumbnail in message body and when clicked on it was viewed full size in seperate web page.See Ken's post http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index....topic=3681&st=0I think by default " Image Scale is turned on. So it may not make any difference, but you are safe with 800 x 600 unless restrictions are posted otherwise. When it gets up and working properly!.** REVISED - Working Now - as of Oct 18/05My sample " by link " above is 800 x 600, however if using a link it could be 1024 x 768 or any other size.Consider users connection speed as in building any web page. Hawk Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 IgorDisplay Mode:I run the forum / topics - Display Options as Standard. If a user using - Options as Outline post a link to another topic, when I click on the link it opens a new window using Outline mode. Now when I close this window and return to my original topic page - click refresh - it changes my original settings to Outline ?I need to go to - Options and click back on Standard. It does appear as if my Options settings / all Board settings are not being saved !.Is this normal, a cookie problem or have I messed up a board setting ?.As a test - set your Display Options to Standard, you can click on most links in posts by Ken Cox as he is running his settings as Outline.http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index....opic=3667&st=40Has anyone else noticed this?. Ken Cox Posted October 20, 2005 Author Report Posted October 20, 2005 Thanks Ken.I can't get any of those options at all, as I said the page just jumps to the bottom when I select options. Right down the bottom left of the screen I get a messade that sayd Done, but with errors on the page, perhaps it is something to do with this being a business machine that goes through a company shared Service Centre. Thanks for your help anywayBarryBarry did you ever get board to work properly?ken Quote
alrobin Posted October 20, 2005 Report Posted October 20, 2005 "although seemed to be able to get it right "I had thought it was working for me, but only because I could easily move the smilie from the bottom and put it wherever I wanted so I hadn't realized there was a problem. Quote
