VizBob
In a mono mp3 file, the timeline shows half the total time, stalls there but the sound continues to the end. As soon as I make the same sound stereo, all is well. Is this a feature or a bug? It means I can't compress the exe file as much as I want to. Any help will be appreciated. I'm using 4.43 on WinXP SP2. Thanks.Bob
VizBob
Has anybody had the same problem or am I doing something wrong?
Barry Beckham
Perhaps the answer is not to convert to mono, it won't save much size and I am not sure the slight difference in sound file size will have any impact on the show.Barry
Guest guru
Hi Bob! Welcome!Normally I always used stereo music, so I have made a little test: all works correctly even with mono files.
VizBob
Thanks bbdigital and guru for the replies. With a mono file, I can save another 15% to 20% on file size. For the project I'm working on, this is very important. Since guru has no problem with mono, it must be the program I'm using to convert to mp3. At least I know it's not a bug in P2EXE. Thanks again.Bob
Ken Cox
could you not achieve greater decrease in size by lowering the bitrate of the stero mp3 file -- using dbpoweramphttp://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htmken
