CKAJCA Posted October 24, 2005 Report Posted October 24, 2005 I have a number of .mov video clips that I want to insert into a PTE presentation. I have tried Dr. Video and then used Customize slide and Run External Application to play the clip. Everything works OK but the slide show keeps going at the same time as the video clip is playing. Is there a way to show some slides, then play the video clip and then when it is finished to carry on with the rest of the slides? Quote
Ken Cox Posted October 24, 2005 Report Posted October 24, 2005 why dont you covert the mov's to mpg's with WinAvihttp://www.winavi.com/they may be more compatible thenken Quote
Hawk Posted October 24, 2005 Report Posted October 24, 2005 CKAJCAMay want to try adding your .MOV link as an Object Button. Also add the Navigation Bar.Allowing user to Pause – then one can click your Link Button to play .MOVWhen done – unclick the Pause to Resume. As Ken suggest, if sharing maybe another format might be better that Windows Media Player plays as it may require Quicktime Player installed for your viewers. Hawk Posted October 24, 2005 Report Posted October 24, 2005 CKAJCAFurther to my post above:You did not mention about music. If background music is added it will continue to play even when Paused and viewing your .MOV.If you wish to stop the music while .MOV is playing, then choose to " Syncronize Slideshow To Music Duration " and click on " Permit Control Of Show " Quote
