denwell
All of a sudden my PC seems unable to play the video (VOB files) from either external disks or video files on my HD. AVI plays OK.I get an error message which apparently means the media player(s) cannot find a codec to process the video.I am at a loss as to what to do - there seems to be quite a few v.codecs in my system but neither Nero Showtime or Real Player or WMP seem able to play ( audio is OK on all these players)I don't want to go to a re-format and install ( not before Christmas anyway)Any thoughts? denwell
Thanks KenI recently installed evaluation copy of Blaze Media Pro for editing avi files. Before that I suspect all was well. I have removed Blaze now but the problem hasn't gone away.I run (unfortunately) win 2K, I did reboot, but not run chkdisk as yet.I'll give it a try.DEN
alrobin
Den,You might just need to re-install your windows media player, or reinstall the free copy of RealPlayer.
