that bling stuff

is it edible ?

ya know us colonists are kinda illiterate when it comes to understanding the Welsh "tongue"

ken

Hi Ken,

Must admit I too have a problem with modern terms. Dont realy know what it means, just heard my kids say it a few times. doh! Hope its not naughty. I think it means all upto date technology and information.

The welsh tounge is a taste one has to aquire, dont use it much my self, speak a da english mostly.

if I spoke welsh no one in my family would do anything I ask!! that wouldn't make much difference tho.

:lol::lol:

It is no good bringing me into it Ken I thought "bling" was a typing error. Ah! 'Blingkin' marvazing!!!!. Now I see it "Blinking marvellous"

Reminds me when I was at school in the 30's the English master mocking the Hampshire accent with "Smawijja" meaning "What is the matter with you".

Dave:

You won't find any, but there have been several equivalent-to-books written in all the links that Ken gave you.

Maybe that is something you could do, write a book for those following you :D:D:D

I think it's origins are from urban American blacks who originally used the term to describe showy or ostentatious jewelry.

Hi Dave,

I too have had the same problem as you. The links that have been posted provide some good information but I think that you wil not find anything detailed on the use of the timeline. I have written a detailed guide for our camera club and am trying to get it posted on the Beechbrook site

http://www.beechbrook.com/index.htm

The upload facility is not working at present. But when it is functioning again, I will post the tutorial and you will be able to download it. It is in the form of a pdf file with screen shots to explain the various functions.

I think Bill is still having problems with the upload system - i ran some unsuccessful tests a couple days ago, and have not heard from today

ken

At this point the new server will only accept filesizes of 4.5 megs successfully, although it has been configured for much larger presentation sizes. This is the reason I have chosen to leave the PTE Upload Utility offline. Sorry for the inconvience. I have an open trouble ticket in on this issue, so stay tuned to this forum for updates.

True - that offer still stands

Hi Roger,

I would like to take up your offer of hosting the tutorial. It is a pdf file, size 3.5mb. How do I upload it to your site? Once posted, I (we?) could post a message on the forum directing members to the site to download it if they wished.

Either e-mail direct or use dropload to send it to me together with your details. I'll upload it to the site, crediting it to you of course.

I am surprised that you have not been able to find anything useful on how to use PictureToExe. My own site has a number of tutirials that might help you. However, one of the very best CD tutorials that I have seen is the one made by Barry Beckham called,"Digital Audio Visual" It takes you step by step through the whole process og making a slide show. I can highly recommend it to you so take a look on his web site. (www.beckhamdigital.co.uk)

Thanks Ron, but I have had some useful links from others already and again, yours will also help i'm sure.

One thing tho my original plea was for printed material eg. books or mags. :D

Hi there, I take your point about you wanting 'written material'

A lot of people are wanting this as well and for that reason, I always include a witten 'pdf file' with all my tutorials. For example, the current one that I am working on (Making a Multi Picture Frame) has a pdf that is 26 pages long and is very detailed indeed.
