boxig
Eric,Make your button with empty text (no text).Make Hyperlink and uncheck the Underline, make all three colors same color (if you like) and don't put any link. Put this over the button.Do the same for next line.So if your button is big enough, you can add more lines. But I have one problem on my computer - when I check the UNDERLINE I still get the line under the text. If it happens to you too, let us know.Granot
Eric
Dear Granot,Thank you very much for your advice. I wonder whether I can use the Text function instead of the Hyperlink. I can write many lines of text in the Text function. Hyperlink only allow me to add one line at a time. Many thanks again.Eric.
Guest guru
Hi Eric! Welcome!Sure you can use the Text object instead of Hyperlink! And I think it's much more convenient and suitable (your link must be set on button, obviously).
RudiRe
Hi Eric, the best results you'll get by making your own buttons outside of PTE in a buttonmaker- or image program with as many text lines as you want, then inserting your handmade buttons as objects into PTE.This way, you have full control over your text design, your fonts will look better and you also can use any ttf-font you like. Guest guru
Yes, the Rudi's idea is the best (and most elegant) solution. Here are two URLs where you can find very useful freeware to make "professional" buttons (I don't remember where I got them - maybe by Rudi himself?!):- Zpaint - http://www.steffengerlach.de/freeware/ (286KB)- DeKnop - http://home.hccnet.nl/s.j.francke/deknop/deknop.htm (838 KB)
RudiRe
Yes,ZPaint was my recommendation, but I tried the other one too, whereby ZPaint is to my understandig the much smarter program, but one needs to add the fonts with another program. For making buttons though, it's just great.
