Importing a Font

I'm about to start a new show & want to use a particular font , I've been through those shown in PTE but can't find a suitable one, can someone tell me how to import a font into PTE please.

I think that if you follow the normal steps for loading a new font into Windows, it will appear in PTE. PTE does not have any Built-In Fonts.

Are you saying that the font that you want to use is available on your PC but does not show in PTE?

If so, what is it called?

Hi Dave

The font I want is not on my PC or in PTE. I don't know the name of it but it needs to be in the Japanese "style" of text, not Japanes text that is unreadable in English. I've seen a few pictured on various sites but they didn't have names.

Thanks guys. I picked one of Dave's called Karate, downloaded it, but how do I get it to appear in mine & PTE's font list?

Unzip (Extract) if necessary and right click on the extracted file. Choose "Install".

It will install in Windows and should be availabe the next time you open PTE.

Hi Dave

The font wasn't in a zip file it was a PDF download. Had a try right clicking in settings fonts & it eventually worked, the Karate font is showing in my PC & PTE.

Hi Dave, You're right it was a zip file. The print is so small on my PC I just assumed it was a PDF download which is normal.
