Ronniebootwest
I have recently been sorting out a few problems with my PC and now when I make a new PTE slide show the music will not play (mp3 files)I uninstalled the latest version and then reinstalled version 4.4 (Iknow that worked before). When I create a test show with just 10 slides and set the options to 'synchronise' the music will just not play when I select 'preview' However, if I go ahead and create the .exe the show plays as normal (including music)Any ideas pleaseRon

I have copied the music from a cd using Windows Media Player. The track appears in the library which seems to mean that it has been successfully ripped from the CD.When I set up the slide show and select "customise slide" it shows the track that I want to select. I highlight this and hit the "ok" buttonWhen I run the "preview " the slides run ok. but there is no sound. I believe I have set up the process correctly and ticked te appropriate boxes but just cannot get the music to play. Can anyone help me to sort this out. I shall be grateful for any advice.ThanksRonnie

stonemason
Ronnie if its a wma file there is a possibility you have run up against the dreaded DRM (Digital Rights Management). Wma is always best avoided for this reason, and stick with mp3. Try to convert your music to mp3 with your prefered application, and if it refuses then drm is the problem. Not sure how the completed exe file handles the music but windows is unlikely to see it in the original wma format so it will play OK.Hope this is of some helpregardsstonemason
