'phantom' soundtrack [SOLVED]

PTE AV Studio PT10.5 pro version 10.5.9

I am getting a soundtrack on images where there is no soundtrack! I have scrolled down to check if I accidentally have placed soundtrack  on a different level but there is nothing.

eg the sound is a copy of a short track I have linked to slide 30 but it's also playing on slide 99 with no track visible.

It's taken me  a long time to get my sounds in the correct places connected to certain slides so I don't want to delete them all and start again.

Any ideas please?

does that slide have a video on it? Maybe that is the sound you are hearing?

Hi Jill, no, it's just a photograph.

I've solved it for the moment by making an extra MP4 slide with the photo and track, and inserting it into the sequence, thereby eliminating the track in the project  - it seems to have worked. A bit time-consuming but will have to do it with each bit of 'phantom' sound which appears unexpectedly.

It hasn't got rid of the original problem though!

You can attach your project file where this issue occurs. Just one .pte file. We'll check it.

Thank you. I deleted the troublesome tracks and worked around the problem, but have recreated it for you, the problem still occurs.

The track linked to slide 31 can be heard from slide 163.

Hi Lisa, just had a quick look at your pte file & you have Looped the soundtrack - this is most likely the cause of your problem

See Project Options / Audio Tab  - bottom right

So once the track finishes it will start playing again
