Unsubscribing

help,

I'm off on a month long trip and want to unsubscribe before I go so that my mail box is not filled up.

I've tried in My control panel but to no effect.

Can anyone tell me what to do?

There is absolutely no reason to "Unsubscribe" whilst on Holidays ~

Unlike "EText Forums" which disgorge ALL Postings to a subscribers EMail Address.

The "PTE Invision Board" does not work that way ~ it simply does not send unsolicited

EMails to your In-Box because the Forum is Web accessed throught "Internet Explorer"

whereas 'EText Forums' are accessed from "Outlook Express" - an EMail Client Program.

Both Programs are totally different in operation and structure.

Can somebody answer the question!? I inadvertently signed up for pix2exe forums, when all I wanted to do was download the pix2exe software.

Now, it seems, all I can do is waste time in forums which I could usefully waste on making some slide shows!pix2exe.

Sp how do I get out?

Hi David,

With respect, can I point out that if you are going to use the PTE program you will probably need some help at some time or another and there is no better place to get that help, than on this forum. Now that you have found us, please stay for a while and give us a chance.

Thanks for the reply, I am sure the forums will be of interest in the future, but first I want to get a copy of pix2exe! How or where do I do that?

Click on this link http://www.wnsoft.com/download.htm and download Pte 5.1, this is the latest stable copy.

Any problems then use this forum as Ronnie suggested.

Thanks for that, now I can get started, but I already have a question! I have PTE on my desktop, but now want to use it on a laptop, so do I have to register my version again on the new computer?

There are 2 ways of doing this:-

1)

If you have a 'Memory-Pen' simply copy the entire PTE.Folder on to the

Memory-Pen and load that Folder on to your Laptop. (Simplest way)

Close & Restart Laptop to activate the Reg-Key.This guarantees that

both Programs are mirror-images.

(Chances are the Reg-Key is within the PTE Folder)

2)

Download a brand new copy of PTE to your Laptop, now you will have

to find your 'Reg-Key' and load that into the new PTE.Folder.

Close and Restart your Laptop. (No need to Re-Reg the Program).
