Igor Posted May 3, 2006 Author Report Posted May 3, 2006 bmccammon,Please run again several times both variants. It's very important for us. Quote
LumenLux Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 Igor, when you say "run several times" - Do you want the test show to loop over and over again? Or do you want us to Escape after each individual "run"?I have done both, on two pc's. I have only one Memory Leak failure. On the more powerful pc with the better video card, I had the failure. On the first run, approximately 20 seconds into the Music version, I pressed Escape. Memory leak error occurred. All other trials, Music or No Music, on two PC's, I have not been able to duplicate the error. Quote
Hemjr Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 Igor, Ran both programs several times with no problems. Ran restarting between each by stopping previous run by depressing Esc key. Also ran both by letting it rerun automatically several times with no problems.Howard Quote
Igor Posted May 3, 2006 Author Report Posted May 3, 2006 Yes, run for 1 minute or so, when press Esc and start again. Run a couple of times every variant. Quote
goddi Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 Igor... Retested and got 1 error. GeForce FX5600; P4; 3 ghz; 2MB RamRan each test 1 minute and 15 seconds. No Music: 1st-yes, got error 2nd-no error 3rd-no error With Music: 1st-no error 2nd-no error 3rd-no error Gary Quote
bharkins Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 I'm not clear what this test is to indicate, unless there are problems that show up. I had no problems with music or without music at any time. The smoothness of the pans and zooms remain excellent, even climbing the tall tree. It shows what a fast machine, lots of RAM and a high end video card can do.After reading dozens of Forum messages on PTE 5 beta, I've now got to get to work and actually figure out how to make it run for me! Hemjr Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 I ran the tests again, about 5 or 6 times on both with and without music. Ran each one for about 2 minutes and stopped by depressing the esc key. Both ran very smoothly. No problems detected. These tests were run on my Sony Vaio laptop.Howard Quote
