JPD Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 I made some tests about the precision of the position of the objetcs, one of them is hereIn original mode, it's exactly the same result that for 4.48 : perfectIn the others modes wih resizing, it's more difficult to have a perfect result, but it's true, it's perfect .Bravo to Igor's teamSorry, I made a mistake with the link and give you the second example. This one permit to see the precision of V5 Quote

bharkins Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 Beautifully done JP, smooth and slick. I am getting some small hesitations in my panning on my own tests, but not with others, so I'm not worried about my hardware. Why would I get the hesitations (probably less than .1 second) in my images, but not those of the members?Bill Quote
JPD Posted May 10, 2006 Author Report Posted May 10, 2006 I know what it took to do this Lin, it's not very difficult, because Igor put a relation Parent to children for the objects and there is no limit for the number of steps (just the limit of the hardware). This function is very important and easy to use. Quote
Igor Posted May 11, 2006 Report Posted May 11, 2006 Jean-Pierre,We found one interesting problem. It better to use only English symbols in names of files if you will publish source files of a project. Because ZIP archive doesn't store files in Unicode format, and when I unpack this ZIP in Russia or in other country with Cyrillic symbols, I'll see damaged symbols in names of file (like problem you found in About window). Specified French symbols will be replaced to specific Russian symbols. So I can not open this project in PicturesToExe.Only WinRAR product with packing to RAR archive correctly packs/unpacks national symbols in names of files.Of course, this problem never occurs with EXE file of slide-show (even packed to ZIP archive). JPD Posted May 11, 2006 Author Report Posted May 11, 2006 It better to use only English symbols in names of files if you will publish source files of a project. OK Igor, it must be good now. Why M. Gate isn't french ? :-) Quote
Igor Posted May 11, 2006 Report Posted May 11, 2006 In the next beta we will show warning for "Create back in ZIP" function in case of non base latin symbols. It's OK now. ThanksWe spent much time to reach ability of showing images pixel in pixel without resizing in 3D mode with hardware acceleration. If you have 1024x768 screen resolution and image 1024x768 it will be displayed exactly as is, without bluring and without resizing. Or if you set "Original size" it also will not be resized/blured on any display - exact show pixel in pixel. We compared screenshots in graphical editor (via subtraction of layers) - no difference at all between original and screenshot from a screen. As you also noticed images in PicturesToExe v5.00 can be placed with sub-pixel accuracy (between pixels). Also this sub-pixel positioning of images during animation gives so smooth Pan effect. Quote
JPD Posted May 12, 2006 Author Report Posted May 12, 2006 As you also noticed images in PicturesToExe v5.00 can be placed with sub-pixel accuracy That's right Igor, but the best way is that the size of the object is a pair number when you want to be absolutely perfect in order to have no subpixel, I try with an object which was with half a pixel in its position (subpixel) and it was not so perfect, which is normal (a liitle difference when using Paintshop Pro layer).
