timing of slides

I have the project options set at 4 seconds per slide, but I'd like the second to last slide and the last slide to linger for much longer. I click manually on the second to last one and get the pop up that says main - timing - use own preference - where I enter 10 seconds. I preview this over and over and it never lasts more than 4. What am I doing wrong? Any help?

The ideal is that you rules the time of the first and the last image with the time line.

once you have changed time display to 10 sec for the selected slides, what is displayed when you re-enter the pop-up of those slides (in the "main" tab, timing fields) ?

Anyway, the way you do it should work.

If you want, you can post your project.

I'm gonna have a look at it, try to do it for you and find out what might be wrong with your manipulations...

Have you got 'Automatic Synchronisation' active ? (Automatically synchronise all slides to Music duration)

This apportions equal time to all Slides, the cumulative time of these being the Sound Track duration time.
