Paul T Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 Just put a presentation on beechbrook. Although not the most interesting of subjects for a slide show it was a good subject to experiment with pte 5 beta #3 I still seem to have a few jerks and I struggle with exact timing on the transitions to make it flow. The timming of how long the image is on the screen and how the next image arrives on the screen is the key to a good presentation and think I still need to concentrate on this aspect However, I think it's worth a lookPaul Quote

Beautiful photos, exceptional doll house and nice presentation. As a suggestion perhaps you might want to overlap your fades - that is on all but the very first slide, drag both the start keypoint and ending keypoint into the zone outside the timeline. On the first slide just drag the ending keypoint to the right of the transition zone. Drag the beginning keypoint to the left and the ending keypoint to the right. This will, in effect, give you one slide begining while the other is ending and make a nice smooth transition. Once you drag them slightly beyone the transition zones you will see the image disappear, but when you play the preview you will see the nice, smooth effect at the transitions. Use about a 3000 or 4000 (three or four second) transtion for each.Best regards,Lin Quote

Almost looks life-size!I have found that, depending on the effect I am trying to use in O/A, and the size of my images, I sometimes notice jerkiness if I start the O/A (PZR) effects before the end of the transitions to the slides, or if they continue on into the transition to the next slide. By playing around with the timing, these uneven effects can be minimized. They are also not as bad using just ordinary dissolves, and simple pans or zooms.I suspect that certain transitions (once Igor adds them to v.5), will interfere more with the smooth performance of PZR effects.
