Ronniebootwest
I make pdf tutorials for PTE and I use Microsoft Word 2003.A recent beta test of my tutorial for the Ken Nickles Organisor Menu has produced comments about the spelling of ORGANISOR. I agree with my tester who says that the correct spelling is ORGANISER.Clearly, my version of Word is using the USA dictionary and I need to change over to the UK version.I have tried to do this by following the help files provided by Microsoft but I just cannot get it to change.Does anyone know how I can change the preferences so that I will always use the UK dictionary please?Ron
alrobin
But Ken is American, is he not?

Open the basic "normal.dot" template file which you will probably find in C:\program files\microsoft office\templates. Go to Tools - Language - set language. You will probably find that both the USA and UK English versions are ticked. Select (i.e. highlight) the UK English version and click on the "default" button. Then save the file. This will creat a new version of the standard template with the language set to UK English. All subsequent documents will have this as the default.Jeff
