JPD Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 My PC have been out for 6 weeks but I continued to test #3 on my ladtop.I have made a slideshow "Chantilly" with some view enough difficult to try PTE, the first one for instance use more than 200 objects with 6 keypoints for each. I have also test for a perfect frame, because they aren't perfect today with GIF, PNG or BMP (it was perfect in V4).I also have try some news effects to show what would be interesting to do if it was possible to put the effects on an object as it's possible to do on a view. After this test, I have some requests to do :1 - This slideshow run perfectly on my ladtop, a little better than on my PC (both with 32Mo for graphic card), but on some PC of my friends it does run correctly (with a 32 Mo graphic card). I don't know if it's possible but when a PC has too much difficulties to work with PZR functions, would it be possible to jump automatically these views and wait for the next view without PZR effect in order the slideshow can work (perfectly or not) on all PC.2 - Would it be possible to put effects (curling and so one) on one or several objects as it's possible for views.3 - The position of the object is perfect, but for all the files with transparency (GIF, PNG and BMP 32 Bytes) the color and the transparency of the border of the pictures isn't perfect and it's a problem for frames, but also when we need to build a view with several files with transparency.4 - Would it be possible to have another key like F1 but which will be an help for the view (for intance to explain what is the place we see, how was done the photo etc)5 - Would it be possible to copy a view or sevral objects from a slideshow and paste in another one.I have put the template of this slideshow here Quote
Igor Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 Jean-Pierre,What an amazed slideshow you created! I've found that you used effects that are not existed in PicturesToExe! And no Curling of page especially for particular object in beta 3I can't imagine how you manually calculated and created all these effects.Yes, we plan to make possible effects for objects in next v5.10 as you shown. With real effects natively supported PTE they will work more smooth on old PCs.3. Try to uncheck "Edge antialiasing" option in properties of objects. Maybe it is that thing?4. I added your idea to my TODO list. Probably in next version!5. You can copy one or several objects, of course. Just select them visually or in tree of objects and then Copy button. Sorry, if I didn't understand rightly.I have also test for a perfect frame, because they aren't perfect today with GIF, PNG or BMP (it was perfect in V4).Please explain me in more details. p.s. I also found on your slideshow our bug which will be fixed in the next beta. Blackness on first slide in Visual editor on background which dissappears after selecting some object. Quote
JPD Posted August 8, 2006 Author Report Posted August 8, 2006 Thank you Igor for your answers.3. Try to uncheck "Edge antialiasing" option in properties of objects. Maybe it is that thing?I have uncheck "Edge antialiasing" to have a better result, this point is the same as for frame, I must prepare exemples to send you.5. You can copy one or several objects, of course. Just select them visually or in tree of objects and then Copy button. Sorry, if I didn't understand rightly. The question is to copy a view or several objects from one slideshow to another slideshow as we can do inside a slideshow. So it would be easy, for instance, to copy easily a special effect from one slideshow to another as I do today with the notepad or Excel. So I could make many effects in a sample show and people could use easily these effects with copy and paste functions. Igor Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 OK, I'll think about copying/pasting objects!About borders of images. Please show me screenshot to illustrate your question. If I understood rightly, you means placement of many small objects as entire image without holes. It's difficult task in Direct 3D we use, and as "Curling of page" shows, PicturesToExe should know that they are one big object and then tell Direct 3D to draw them together at one pass.v5.00 is only beginning and we plan a lot of improvements and many features for creative work like yours.Thank you for very interesting demonstration of possible effects! ( with only one session of PTE open )What I have done is – right click on image in the “ Slide List – choose “ Copy “*** Do not close PTE.Go to “ File “ - New / or Open your new working project, and in Slide List – right click and “ Paste “This does copy all the “ Objects & Annimation “ of the sample image. Now - " Save as "Open other samples and repeat. You should be able to Copy / Paste your samples into one showI have done this using one of Al's samplesYou cannot close PTE and restart, - ( this can only be pasted into existing open PTE project.)Nor can you “ Select All “ / Copy in Object and Annimation section and “ Paste “ into new project. It must be done from the SLIDE LIST.---------------------------------EDITED FEB 04 2007 ( with only one session of PTE open )The above was done with a single slide, however it also works with a group of selected slides.Holding left mouse button down draw a rectangle around the group of images you wish to copy, to highlight them. Then right mouse click and choose COPY SLIDE. - this will copy all hightlighted slides and Object & Annimation settings. - DO NOT CLOSE PTE - CopyGo to File - Choose New or Open your working project that you wish to add / paste into.Right click in the slide list section and choose PASTE. - Paste - Slides addedNOTEIf you are already working on a project, then decide you want to add something from another project - make sure you save your existing presentation first. JPD Posted August 9, 2006 Author Report Posted August 9, 2006 Many thanks Ralph, it's work fine. I try to do the same, but with 2 differents sessions of PTE and it was impossible. Your idea is very good. Quote

JPD Posted August 11, 2006 Author Report Posted August 11, 2006 I have put here a file with explanations about a frame (2 pixels width) made with rectangles which is always god for all screen définitions, which is impossible to do with BMP, PNG or JPG files with the same quality.Of course it's possible to have other width for the frame with this method and others sizes for the frame. silvia1 Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 HolaSobre el slide Chantilly, muy interesante. Hello On slide Chantilly, very interesting. Manage to make replacing it it with my own photos, and it even forms it stops when seeing it in a TV do not cut the photos. The truth me cost enough study and work. Only that I could not "work" slides 13 to the 17. That the photos have worked to make the effects in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Image Ready, but the effect in "diagonal" of slide 17 I could not make it. The effect for slide 1, I remain perfect. Agradeceria, since one has become to mention this interesting work, like working the photos to arrive at those effects.Silvia Quote
Ronniebootwest Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 Ralph,I am trying to follow your instruction to Copy & Paste from one PTE Project to another but it does not work for me. I copy a group of slides in the slide list of project 1, then open project 2 but when I right click in the slide list, the 'Paste Slide' option is grayed out.Am I missing something? Also, is it possible to combine two projects together?Ron Quote

Despite this obstacle, "control-v" still worked. David Quote
Hawk Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 Hi Ronthe 'Paste Slide' option is grayed out.Open Project 1 With left mouse button down, drag mouse right to left to highlight slides you wish to copy - right click and choose copy slide.DO NOT CLOSE PTEGo - File - OpenOpen Project 2 Right click in the slide list – choose paste.Seems to me that you maybe copying slides closing PTE and re-opening PTE ?Ken Cox mentioned just this morning to me that he has combined two show using this method, however some tweaking may have to be done.A recent finding by fellow member davegee ( Dave ) you may want to read this thread.Post #8 – also Post #7 by Igorhttp://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index....amp;#entry43847Any problem with the temp - copy / paste method above – let me know. Ronniebootwest Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 Ralph and Fret3,Both of the suggestions work now. I do like the easy option of CTRL+V.It was my own fault, I was copying from project 1 and then opening another session of PTE - silly me!Ron Quote
Ronniebootwest Posted September 12, 2007 Report Posted September 12, 2007 I have also noticed that, when attempting to copy an entire slide show, the music is not copied, you have to add this separately.Ron Quote
