How long to wait for registration key?

I paid with Paypal and account is minus $30.00. Yet almost 1 day later I have not received any reply from wnsoft.com about my key except a thank you for your purchase. Paypal is as good or better than credit card. Why the delay and no reply from numerous emails to Support?

Nic,

Welcome to the Forum!

You should have received a text file along with your registration acknowlegement (perhaps it is attached to the bottom of the email message itself). It is normally a text file called "PTE.KEY", and is exactly 231 bytes in size.

If you see something that looks like:

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PTE]

"Key"="xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx...xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

where "xxxx...xxxx" is a secret code, you can simply copy it into "notepad", save as "PTE.KEY" in the same folder as the rest of your PTE files, and then double-click on it to add it to the registry.

If you don't have anything like the above, then be patient - support will eventually come to yor assistance. If they don't, keep bugging them. Sometimes the emails get lost among all the spam that they receive. Igor reads the Forum messages regularly, too, so if you have no response in a couple of days, post another message here. :)

Al,

Thanks for the encouragement however, I have bought enough software on the internet to recognize what is and isn't a key. Loaded all the numbers on the 1st response email and nothing.

Will be interested to hear the excuses. I hate getting off on a bad foot like this because I don't usually bad customer service like this very well.

Please, write at support@wnsoft.com and I will send you your register key. Probably your anti-spam or anti-virus program has blocked the attached file with the key, which is sent to customers automatically after purchasing a product.

Nic,

Sometimes there is a minor delay in getting the registration key to each new customer or a problem with their email not accepting these keys.

I don't believe you will hear any Excuses from the support team at WnSoft, only results. Their customer service is OUTSTANDING and hopefully you'll stick around long enough to see how good this team really is.

Regards,

Fred

The developers should consider looking into/reworking the registation system. When I registered a few months ago the key did not come attached to the email. It had been incorporated into the text of the email at the bottom. However, several characters had been dropped off so the key could not be registered properly. I had to add the characters back myself to get it to work. Was using a POP3 email server and Eudora client. This type of out of box experience should be avoided.

Hi Fred

I'm used to minor delays and I don't want to hear any excuses from anyone - but I sure the hell would like to hear SOMETHING from the PTE support team!!! I bought PTE over ten days ago. The attached file (reg.txt) had the following content:

<html><head><title>Server Application Error</title></head>

<body><h1>Server Application Error</h1>The server has encountered an error

while loading an application during the processing of your request.

Please refer to the event log for more detail information. Please contact

the server administrator for assistance.</body></html>

Clearly this is not a reg key. I don't really know what it's supposed to mean and I shouldn't have to even think about it. I have since written four emails to support@wnsoft.com without any answer. I also posted a message on this forum three days ago which doesn't appear anywhere I can see. To be honest, I'm getting rather bored with this whole event and, if it was simple, I would have cancelled my order days ago and bought a competitor's software instead. This is your final chance, guys! Either you start treating me as a valuable customer or I will start treating you as a bunch of amateurs. Judging by other postings on this forum, quite a few people are having problems with the registration process. I suggest you start taking us all more seriously!!

So, would someone from the support team please contact me NOW and explain what to do.

Regards, Flash
