Trevor Posted yesterday at 02:27 PM Report Posted yesterday at 02:27 PM I am a newbie, I;m trying to bring a Picture onto screen, have it pause for 6 seconds and then leave the screen in the same direction it entered, my problem is making it remain still for the 6 seconds, I thin this must be simple problem but i'm unable to see where I'm going wrong,ANY help would be a help I'm using PTE AV Studio 11 Pro Quote
macian Posted yesterday at 05:37 PM Report Posted yesterday at 05:37 PM I have never done this sort of post with a zip file attached, so I don't know if it will work Project1_Mar10-2025_17-30-33.zip Quote
macian Posted yesterday at 07:11 PM Report Posted yesterday at 07:11 PM I have downloaded the zip file to my laptop and it works fine. The second KF was cloned and moved to allow a six second period where the Picture did not move. Between that and the last KF I had the modifier set to "Accelerate," whereas the First KF was set to "Slow Down." Please ask if that is not clear. Quote
SeismicGuy Posted 23 hours ago Report Posted 23 hours ago Yes I was also going to take a stab at cloning the keyframe and placing the second one as many seconds beyond the first as you needed. Quote
Trevor Posted 22 hours ago Author Report Posted 22 hours ago Hi SeismicGuy, Thank you so much, it works perfectly, although I don't truly understand how it works, and I am still none the wiser why it didn't work before, but I have it working now. The download and installation worked perfectly. I was much more used to using After Effects and could have done this in no time, sadly I no longer have access to that program, so once again Thank you, you are now at the top of my Christmas Card List. regards Trevor Quote
SeismicGuy Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago I think you meant to thank macian but I will be happy to take some thanks as well  When I started using PTE about 4 years ago I was moving from using MemoriesOnTV which was very simple and intuitive and got pretty decent results. When the developers abandoned that program I discovered PTE. There is not as much intuitiveness to the program but it is extremely powerful and there are a number of more serious folks here who have really mastered all of the goodies. I am only an occasional user but learned a bunch by watching the various tutorials made by Barry Beckham.  1 Quote
digartal Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago It possibly did not work the first time because you did not have the image active in the screen on the bottom right corner in the Objects and Animations screen. This happens when you click on the main screen outside the image window. I do this regularly and then go OH YES. Quote
Trevor Posted 3 hours ago Author Report Posted 3 hours ago Hi Digartal, after an hour or so i figured out that was exactly what I had done, DUH, in the transition selection area there is a transition named page it opens the picture from right to left, is it possible to create a complimentary transition closing the picture from left to right? i only asking if it can be done, if it can be, guess what my next task will be. regards Trevor Quote

I apparently sent my thank you not to the wrong person, so, thank you very much for your help, these modifiers can be a bit of a bugger.......... I am learning somethin new each time I run PTE AV Studio, but its going to be a long haul, Thanks once again Regards Trevor Quote
