I too, am saddened and angered by the senseless, pointless destruction of your site. I only have a few things of yours, and after seeing Ken's post, I'm sure I can't help by including obscure files. But I can thank you for not giving up and taking the time to rebuild everything, which of course, benefits us much more than you! Thank you for all your significant contributions that make our lives easier. We all look forward to the new and improved site!

Courage mon ami. Shattered to hear of your misfortune. Unfortunately, there are those, lacking the ability to create anything worthwhile themselves, ensure their effect upon the world by destroying the works of others.

It occurs to me that, as a result of the generous response you will get from this forum, you will end up being overwhelmed by duplication.

Therefore, two things I can offer to do:

a) mail you a list of all the stuff I have, that was downloaded from your site. Then, when you get all the data, members are sending, it will be a simple matter to see if I have anything that you are missing.

put into English anything you find easier or quicker, to write in French.

Hello everybody,

Sorry for the lack of news. I was quite busy this week-end, I had a family meeting.

Anyway, first of all, a huge THANK YOU! to everybody who took time to send me files.

Thank you too for your very kind support and proposition for help.

As suggested, I will make a list of what is missing and will post it.

I will update it when a file is received.

For the future, I still plan to start a new site.

I don't know how the hacker did, but to prevent an other attack I will use a secure php script.

I'm still in the process to find the right script for my need.

In the same time, I will :

- classify the files

- rewrite the description for each one

- find the links of the original threads

- make a screen capture for each file.

I would appreciate help, especially with the descriptions.

Concerning the categories and their description, I will make a first list.

Some of you proposed their help. I will contact them by PM.

There is a lot of work. That's why it may take some time to rebuild a new download center.

But be sure that I will do my best as fast as possible.

And once again, thank you to all of you.

PS : to clarify things, I had two problem in the 10 last days.

First : PC out of order.

But I was lucky, because I didn't loose any datas on my HD.

Second : Sites hacked : TheDom Sharing Place, TheDom Sharing Links and a third site which was a private site called "Les Z@mis" (" The Friends"). A community of friends, the site beeing a way to communicate, to plan happenings, to share photos, blogs, etc, etc...

It's probably the biggest loss : the site was running for more than two years. I spend a huge amount of time on it and there is nothing more.

But it's my fault, I should have done backups.

Actually, I'm wondering if the first problem is not linked with the second one or if it's only a coincidence...

Hello Dominique, I am really saddened and saddened by what arrives at you.

On earth(ground) there is which(who) return services and the others who(which) destroy(annul) and these last ones hide as cowards behind their PC, one pen names tin and rots by their interventions the work begun by persons as you and as many of the others and I find it blade.

For my part, him(it) there quite a lot of things that I downloaded, only so that you are not doubloons, it would be good to say what you miss and it is very gladly that I shall make you this service.

My French is infinitely worse than your English, but if there is any way I can help with the descriptions, please let me know. I know you have had many other offers from people who really know French, so I doubt I can be much help. But if the object is obvious, perhaps I could write a description in English without translating if from French.

In any case, if there's something I can do, please let me know.
