shelton
Is there a way to start the music on the 2nd or 3rd slide using the customize synchronization feature? I want to have my title slide and credit slide with no music.
JRR
Shelton:The easiest way is to add silence to the front of your sound file. Figure out how much you need and mix it in using Audacity or Acoustica, or Cool Edit or.... (Those are the sound mixing softwares that are talked about most here)
shelton
Thanks Jim for your information. I had hoped that there was a way to change the starting point using the custom synch feature provided in PTE. Oh well, everything can't always be that easy.Again thanks, Shelton
nobeefstu
shelton,Considering that the "SYNC'" function is relatively new and still going thru lots of programing stages and other tweaks ... Im sure once Igor is totally happy with the foundation of the "SYNC" operation and quality ... he will start implementing other enhancements and features such as you and others would like to see possible when using SYNC. In the meantime, as JRRsuggests, there are work arounds to do what you want ... even if its a bit more work and not as fast.
shelton
nobeefstu, I made a wav file with no sound and use it before the regular music and it works great. I have been using this program since it was first created and enjoy it so much. It only gets better with age. I am retired and this forum really helps me with new ways to do things.Shelton
Guest guru
I agree, Shelton. I too I used your method: it's the simplest and, as you say, works great. By the way, the size of an mp3 file of 10 sec (at 64 Kbps) is about 75 KB, less than a good Jpeg picture.
