I am having a problem with the navigation bar in PTE 4.48

I have created the presentation, musics in, file names display. I can eve get the comments to print on the screen as the program previews. However, the NB will not display in either Preview or Create mode. I can set in object editor. It's there when I preview slides individually.

The damnest thing is that I had just completed a slideshow for a customer (they view the images and order via file name) and the NB worked fine.

What do I need to do?

Thanks.

Hi, Michael,

Welcome to the Forum!

Try customizing the navigation bar so that it displays in the centre of the image, and see if you can see it then.

Also, make sure you have "Display navigation bar" checked in the "Project options / Advanced" menu.

Thanks, Al

I tried moving the NB to the center and once again it showed up on the individual preview and the object editor views. I even dumped the whole program and started from scratch. Same issue.

Any other ideas? Thanks.

Michael,

Sorry, I don't have many other ideas about this - it sounds very strange.

Try it on a very simple show, with no objects, etc., to see if it is working there.

You might also try a search of the Forum to see if this problem has surfaced before. I don't remember seeing it, myself.

If you can, you might also test the show on another pc.

Michael,

There is one other possible explanation. If your show is "synched to music", then in order to see the nav bar on preview you must check "permit control of show" opposite the synchronization button on the main tab of Project Options. I had forgotten about this application. :)

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, AL

That was it! I knew there had to be one stinking box I checked or didn't check. I nearly gave up and tried it in ProShow Gold -- but there is NO navigation bar option there.

I will sleep well tonight. Thanks.
