Multiple Screens

Hi everybody,

Has anyone figured out how to get a P2E show display on the non-main screen (or both screens at the same time) when you are using multiple displays? That is, without changing my Windows screen settings.

This subject came up about a year ago, and it was determined that it is not possible.

However, with v.5, maybe this will change??

As we tested slide show works very slowely on secondary display. It seems that DirectX is not designed for this purpose.

I have two different displays, one 20" widescreen LCD while another is a 19" 4:3 screen. If I want the slideshow to play on the widescreen, I just make it the main screen. If the normal 19", then I just make that screen the main screen instead. Just a few clicks of the button.

Right click on the screen you want to run the slideshow on -> Properties

Click on the Settings Tab

Click on the screen that you want the slideshow to play on and check Use this device as the primary monitor

Click ok and voila... after the brief reset, your slideshow will play there.

Although this solution might not be satisfactory, at least there's a workaround.

Jim,

In V.4.48 you can also select "Windowed mode", and you can then move the show over to the second screen. This feature is not active yet in v.5, but will be eventually.
