thedom
Here are two little animations of butterflies. The demo includes sound too. [click on the image above to directly access the download page] The sequences are quite short but they could be much more longer without increasing the size of the exe (2,95 Mb) because it's not a frame by frame animation. Please notice the clouds animation in the second sequence. thedom
Hi Tom,Here is the PTE project : http://thefreedom.free.fr/share/dload.php?...amp;file_id=173Yes, it is possible to make the wings flutter faster. You just have to decrease the time between the keypoints for the wings. Of course, you will have to add keypoints but you just have to clone them.I think it's quite easy but do not hesitate to ask for help if you need. calman
Hi Thedom,Fantastic show! Could you please show me how do you do the butterfly to flap its wings and zooming? I downloaded and look at your .pte but could not figure out. thedom
Hi Cal,I would like to help you but you have to be more specific about the subject you would like to have explanations.I really encourage you to study the PTE project. Focus on a wing by example and see what are the changes between each keypoint.

Dom,I have downloaded your p2e file, it's just what I was looking for.I took the libety of customising the bodies with a bit of creative colour, I hope you don't mind?.I had a bit of a problem with the sync of the wing flutters but with the help of pen and paper (to record keypoint times) I managed to overcome them, If you know of a better way of syncronisations I would be most grateful.Keep thoes fantastic demos comming, they have become my main source of help and information.Tom. thedom
Tom, be my guest! I share my projects to give everybody the ability to make changes and to improve them.About the synchronisations of objects, two requests were posted a couple of weeks ago :- the ability to set the time parameter when you clone a keypoint (500 ms interval right now) - see http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index....ost&p=36051- the ability to clone several keypoints at the same time - see http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index....ost&p=36068Maybe in a future version of PTE... Dom,I think we are singing from the same hymn sheet but to clarify what I was asking, Is there a simple way to sync both wings so they flutter in sync?.What I have been doing is setting the keypoints for the left wing and writting down (on paper) the time of each keypoint and then duplicating these times on keypoints for the right wing, am I correct?.Tom. thedom
Tom, I think I misunderstood you, sorry. Actually, right now, I think the simplest way to sync both wings so they flutter in sync is the following :one you are done with one wing (A), switch from this object to the other wing (B ).Select each keypoint on A, immediately click on B and add a keypoint (+ button) on B's timeline. But I guess you already know this. Maybe the paper method is not so bad...
calman
Hi Dom,I've been tracing on one wing and tried to understand how it work but couldn't. I am new to PTE 4 and mostly at least how the 4 works, however I am unable to figure out how the wing (just one wing!) work (of course with PTE5). Lets make it simple, I would like to learn how to make just one wing flapping. Thanks.Cal,Hi Cal,I would like to help you but you have to be more specific about the subject you would like to have explanations.I really encourage you to study the PTE project.
