Lin, what do you call that season out west when the snow stops, and the ice starts melting? (just kidding! )

Great wildlife shots, and very convincing snow! Welcome back! :)

Hi Ken,

Thanks! It's nice to be able to see enough to get the timings right - LOL...

Lin

Hey Al,

Remember the old Johnny Horton song - When It's Spring Time in Alaska, It's 40 Below? That's about what it's been feeling like here lately - LOL. Up in the high country it never melts around here and the snows continue until June and start up again in September. I'm getting tired of "white" - nothing to photograph which doesn't have white all over it - HA!

The eye is rapidly improving now - much quicker than expected and on the good side of the curve. I have an appointment with the doctor in the morning and I think he will be surprised at the changes so probably will be able to get back to work maybe as soon as next week.

Best regards,

Lin

Lin,

That's great news - hope you get a positive bill of health from the doctor! :)

Lin,

It's great to see you are back again and that your sight is improving so quickly. I loved the images in your show but found it difficult peering through the snow at the start! It's so long since we have had such weather in this part of the world that I can hardly remember what it's really like.

Here's hoping the improvement continues apace.

Hi Peter,

Thanks! After my appointment yesterday with the opthamologist I'm very confident that my vision will return to normal soon. I don't wear glasses but using the testing equipment even through the haze of floaters my vision measured 20/20 (corrected) for each eye so perhaps I'll soon be fitted with glasses - HA! At 64 years I suppose it's time...

Just be thankful you don't have to peer through the "real thing" complete with sub zero temperatures, high wind and snow freezing around your face - LOL. We love the snow, but have had about enough for now so praying for warmer weather soon...

Best regards,

Lin

Thanks Al, after my appointment I'm much more confident of a full recovery. There was no retinal damage and the number and density of floaters has greatly diminished already so things are "looking good" (pun intended)...

Delighted to hear the news so far is good Lin. :)

Keep resting until the all clear is 100% from the Doc.

Put more water in your whisky or it'll be pink elephants next time  .........

now there's a thought for the next floating AV ! :D ......

wonder if anyone can turn their snowflakes into pink elephants ? ;)

Thanks for all you do for us Lin, make sure you put your health and family first,

then the templates :D

Hi Maureen,

LOL - I'm working on watering down that whisky right now! I'll bet we could make some pink elephants from fluffy snow flakes - HA!

Thanks again. The opthamologist has pretty well cut me loose with no restrictions so in a few days I should be back much earlier than expected.

Best regards,

Hi Lin

So glad to hear that things are looking better regarding your sight. It must have been a great worry especially as your site is so important for the work you do, and can’t imagine for one minute not being able to take photographs. However, I feel pleased for you that the future is looking good.

Best regards Paul

Thanks Paul! Yes the thought of being a "one eyed" photographer was disconcerting at best. I'm elated with the improvement and am able to work now so back to normal....

Lin,

I thought we photographers had THREE eyes anyway, left-right and the photographers eye...ROG-LOL.

Very glad to see you up and running again.

Tom.
