Hawk
Hello AztariIf you subscribed to a topic on one of the forums and a spam post was submitted in the thread you will receive an e-mail notification. The same goes if you subscribe to the complete forum, you will receive an e-mail for any new posting. Yes you are right, do not click any imbedded links in the e-mail message. The volunteer moderators are monitoring 24 / 7 and very quick to delete any such post.Measures are being taken to correct this annoyance. marian
I have been just deleting them! It's a sorry state that some perverted porn idiot has latched himself to our forum and been using it as a place to distribute smut links. ronwil
AztariIn your original post you refer to e-mails. Are you sure that you didn't opt to receive an e-mail notification of any developments on a particular thread? The porn maniac has been posting on to old threads as well as initiating new ones.Ron [uK]
Conflow
Recent Attack on the ForumReaders,On St.Patricks Day I noted a new Member of the Forum: "Diplomat-riga" This Bogus Member posted to all sections of the Forum and I for one opened one of the Posts assumingit was a New member looking for some Help. Then the Alarm Bells went off on my System which is set-upto "STOP" Intruders, isolate them, and make good any damage caused ~ it dutifully done that.I ran an 'XoftSpy Scan' to find out what it was, and my 1st.Screen-Shot below will show you the detailed results. For those of you suffering such repeated 'intrusions' in all probability the 'intrusion' has parked a few cookies on your PC which are designed to self-activate each time you go on the Internet. Provided you have no other infections my 2nd.Screen Shot will show you how to remove these attacks.Start:- Select 'Tools' at the top of this Screen--->then, Internet Options--->then Follow the Screen Instructions shown in 2nd Screen Shot below.Brian.Conflow. Logged into the forum to remove a couple of spam messages and found myself deleting them over and over in several areas before it was all cleaned up. Bogus visitors are posting new topics as well as posting to the end of many forum topics.Cleaned up for the moment...Bill
