Igor Posted April 1, 2007 Report Posted April 1, 2007 According modern requirements, we obligated to say today (April 1, 2007) that PicturesToExe should be:1) For Windows XP and Windows Vista only. Of course, XP with at least SP22) .NET Framework 2.0 (20 MB) should be installed. Microsoft .NET is an ideal technology for programs. Slow work? .NET is a cool technology!3) The software is only several megabytes? Shame. The product should be at least 100 MB. Better 600 MB as any good modern software! 4) The product should connect to its web site periodically. For a noble purpose, of course.5) The product should starts up during a long time to obligate user feel how powerful this product.Do you really want to see these improvements? Quote
Lin Evans Posted April 1, 2007 Report Posted April 1, 2007 Hey Igor,Nice April Fools Joke on us - HA!LOL - doesn't that just about say all!! The cobbled code of most "modern" software written by "teams" all contributing to the final "broken and crippled" code and the developers selling their beta-ware as released products and "allowing" the user the privilege of beta testing the software they paid for. Finally, never "fixing" anything - just sell them an expensive "upgrade" to the next beta version - HA!Interestingly, some of the greatest software ever written came largely from single individual efforts such as Dan Bricklin's VisiCalc, later improved on and developed into Lotus 1-2-3 by Johnathan Sachs, the three amigos at Ashton-Tate who produced dBase 2 & 3 - a couple Mormon boys who wrote Word Perfect and so on. The "modern" software always pales by comparison....Best regards and keep up the great work!,LinAccording modern requirements, we obligated to say today (1-04-2007) that PicturesToExe should be:1) For Windows XP and Windows Vista only. Igor Posted April 1, 2007 Author Report Posted April 1, 2007 Lin,I feel that I may not say about bugs, because bugs/mistakes exists in any programs, including PicturesToExe. But I would hate that day if we will be obligated to follow to those "modern tendentions" in software industry. Quote
ADB Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 It looks like we are in very good hands indeed when it comes to Igor and the Wnsoft Team.Thank you for your very "unmodern" approach :-) Quote
