denwell Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 IgorAm I understanding from what you say that beta 9 will not have the ability to launch other applications / .exe files for menus etc? I can live with a further short wait for almost complete restoration of v4.48 and a whole lot of extra goodies as well!Well done to all at Wnsoft.DEN (NE UK) Quote
Igor Posted April 13, 2007 Author Report Posted April 13, 2007 Den,Am I understanding from what you say that beta 9 will not have the ability to launch other applications / .exe files for menus etc?In beta 10 (almost immediately after beta 9). Quote
Igor Posted April 13, 2007 Author Report Posted April 13, 2007 On my PC preview of slideshows (beta 9) starts on 1 second faster than in beta 8 or v4.48Aleksey well improved start time.Video memory usage on 10-25% lesser than in beta 8. Quote
Ronniebootwest Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 IgorAm I understanding from what you say that beta 9 will not have the ability to launch other applications / .exe files for menus etc? DEN (NE UK)I don't really know why you consider this function to be so important because running a show directly after the preceding one, tends to make the whole thing rather long (and sometimes boring) Why not consider making your own menu and running all subsequent slide shows from that. You could even use my latest tutorial to create an 'Animated introductory show' to tell your viewers who you are.Ron Quote
ADB Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 IgorWhen we run a preview in the animation & objects window will we also hear the sound track? Quote
thedom Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 All those news are absolutely fantastic. It seems the final release is closer and closer. You and your team will have the possiblity to take very deserved vaccations this summer (or even before ). Thanks a lot. Quote

lathompson Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 What more can I say that hasn't been said. I anticipate the following 4 or 5 days... A nice touch to Friday the 13th. Thank you Team Igor!larry Quote
rakn Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 So many excellent cameras are being produced and sold today, but there is only one good slideshow software (for ordinary consumers). What would we do with our images without PTE ? Not so much ...Ragnar Quote
Cèlou Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 Veiled a great news. It delays me and I am not certainly the only one to want to be older of 5 or 6 days to be able to test this new grinding of PTE. Cheer and thank you Igor with you and all the team which works with you. :D Quote
Peter S Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 Igor,This is excellent news. The only downside is that I know I will spend too many hours playing with all the new features!Has any more work been done on the DVD burning facility? I have not run any more tests recently but am working on a project that I would really like to be able to make available to people without PCs in due course. Thanks again to you and all your team for sticking to your quality objectives.Peter Quote

To run new shows from a main menu, which I have been doing for years just like many other users of PTE ! A short wait is no problem.DEN (NE UK) Quote
mightec Posted April 14, 2007 Report Posted April 14, 2007 This is great news, I just feel so sorry for Photodex, they will never get me back using their bug ladened software again. Congratulations to the development team and all you members who have contributed your comments and expertise in shaping the final product. HOW DO WE GET HOLD OF THE FINISHED PRODUCT.Did understand it correctly that Beta 10 and 11 will be launched shortly 'The only missed v5.00 features leaved for beta 10-11 (two weeks after beta 9)' Quote
