Igor
VideoBuilder detects maximal burn speed for current DVD writer and DVD media. For example 2,4X and 4X. But you can set 2,4X if you prefer burn disc on lower speed. Sorry if I didn't understand your question.

Guest Techman1
Ken,Hello! I just ran a quick test and VB doesn't seem to offer burn speeds below 4x (at least not on my PC) in the drop down list. On my DVD+RW, they are at 2.4x with no other options to change the speed. Here is the drop-down list I see when I try to burn to a 8x DVD. Hopefully Igor can explain further what options you have. Are you having problems with the ones burned at 4x? Regards,Fred
Igor
Ken,VideoBuilder as any burning program asks DVD media for a list of possible speeds. If you can't choose some speed, it means that this particular DVD media, or DVD writer don't support this speed of burning.
Ken Cox
when troubleshooting i would like to cut speed of the burner from 4x to 2xthe only thing that will change is the burner i am going to usePLEASE READ THE THREAD AGAINFred my system is totally different than yours so we are not talkng apples and appleswith nero, roxio and many more dvd burner programs on my system i can set the burn speed for the burnerwith vb i cannot adj the speed - it selects the max speed for the combination i am using and that is not the proper way to test/trouble shooti do not dream up these scenarios - i would not post if i had not researched the situation and tried to solve it on my ownken
