mhwarner Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 In the US:Shutterbug Magazine - http://www.shutterbug.comOutdoor Photographer - http://www.outdoorphotographer.comPopular Photography - http://www.popphoto.comPC Photo - http://www.pcphotomag.com/Igor, since I assume you are interested in these magazines in order to promote the release of version 5, I would like to suggest the names of a few columnists to contact individually. They are:George Shaub - http://www.georgeschaub.photofolio.com/ (editor of Shutterbug magazine)Joe Farace - http://www.joefarace.com/ (email: joefarace@comcast.net)Rick Sammon - http://www.ricksammon.com/ (email:rick@sammonltd.com)I met all three of them at a photography workshop a couple of years ago and have followed their columns over the years. Joe is especially knowledgeable about Photoshop plugins and other utility software and writes columns for Shutterbug magazine. (I know Joe is a fan of Panos and has given him several plugs.) Rick Sammon writes columns for several of the magazines including Outdoor Photographer and PC Photo. I'm sure if you send all or any of them copies of the software when it is released, along with a brief description of it's function and some useage tips, they would be likely to plug you in their magazine columns. I would also suggest sending copies of PTE v 5 to Phil Askey at dpReview http://www.dpreview.com/ (which was recently purchased by Amazon). The dpReview site and associated forums get zillions of hits a day from photographers. I know that several of our regular forum participants here have given PTE "plugs" over there from time to time as well. You might also contact Steve at Steves Digicams, http://www.steves-digicams.com/ That site reviews camera equipment and software as well and has a popular on-line forum. If I can do something to help with a write-up, let me know. pwear Posted June 9, 2007 Report Posted June 9, 2007 Igor,I am a freelance journalist in Australia and I have prepared a magazine review of PTE v5 based on the recent betas. The article will appear in the August/September issue of Digital Photo & Design, Australia's best selling digital imaging magazine. They have a website - http://www.yaffa.com.au/digital/.It's very much an article designed to create some enthusiasm for AV in general, especially among former slide shooters ( people who like projection more than printing) many of whom have found digital a bit of a disappointment. It's very basic information with a few screenshots, but I think it is very positive - after all I've been using and enjoying PTE for a long time.I cannot post the review here, before publication, but I would be happy to send you an embargoed copy via email, if you would like to send me your email address. Please mail me - pwear@bigpond.net.au.RegardsPeter Quote
