Lostpixels
Does p2e have any way of syncing with system color management? Blacks/shadows in my digital files have no blacks when compared to being viewed Windows explorer or in PhotoShop. Can anything be done differently? Thanks,Mark
Igor
PicturesToExe uses color settings assigned in Windows. So if you change Brightness/Contrast in parameters of video card or gamma, white point in Adobe Gamma, so it will be applied and in the PicturesToExe's presentations. But PicturesToExe uses (in general use) RGB color model for pictures, so embedded color profile into Jpeg file will be ignored. Do you ever think that p2e will be color savvy and read those embedded profiles?Mark
Igor
Thanks, I'll talk with our team about this moment today. Maybe better to prepare pictures in default RGB color mode, because anyway all current video cards (maybe except Matrox Parhelia in the future Windows Longhorn with his 10 bits per each color channel) and most of CRT/LCD displays show only 16,7 billions of colors. bfreas
You can also use "convert to profile" feature in Photoshop and save a copy in sRGB of the converted file. You can even create an action that can be used on a batch of files.....
Lostpixels
I failed to mention that these files are saved as sRGB. Colors actually are looking good across the board but they are displaying considerably lighter in PTE than PS or even Windows Explorer.Mark
