JanieB Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 Hi,Does anyone know of a freeware or low-cost program to edit music? Maybe a time limited demo I can download? The music I'm using for my slide show is over 6 minutes. I already have 57 slides, and that's taking up less than 2 minutes! If I continue the fast pace through the whole song, the presentation is going to be HUGE. Plus, I'm not sure I can come up with enough pictures for the whole thing. There's a long instrumental piece at the end of the song. It should be easy to cut that out and maybe fade the end of it. I hate to buy an expensive program, since I probably won't ever use it again. Thanks for your help. Quote
alrobin Posted May 23, 2003 Report Posted May 23, 2003 Hi, Janie,The only low-price audio-editing programs that come to mind are "Audacity" and "Acoustica". "Cool Edit 2000" is a little more pricey, but will do almost everything. You can probably find them through an internet search. "Cool Edit" has a free trial download, but it puts a tone on to discourage serious use. It's fun to try it out, though. Good luck! Quote
